It is a well known fact that I am not only a follower but a crazed fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. With that being said, I would like to thank my fellow supporters for sticking with the Dogs through a football season that was a little dissappointing, but a great season none the less. It looks like another year, another pointless bowl game against a less than formitable Big 10 opponent. When are they going to learn that the 3rd ranked team in the Big 10 doesn't hold a candle to the 3rd ranked team from the strongest conference in football. Maybe to make things a litte more competitive, they should rank the the 5 BCS conferences that are inferior to the SEC. Then have the champion of each of those conferences play the 1-5 teams from the SEC. This year for example may have looked like this:
1. Auburn v. USC
2. Georgia v. Oklahoma
3. LSU v. Michigan
4. Tennessee v. VT
5. Florida v. Pitt
My money would go for the SEC to pull at least 4 of 5 victories in this championship series. This year the SEC conference is down?
The SEC has 4 teams with 2 or fewer losses; the other conferences have 3, 2, 2, 1, and 0. Better still the SEC's top 4 teams have only 6 losses between them; the others: 9,9,11,12, and 14. Take that to the top 5 and it is even better. The SEC: 10; the others: 13,14,16,16,18. The SEC is down? I'd hate to see a strong year's comparison!
Again I hate it this year for Dawg football fans, but if you like basketball... This year is going to SUCK!
